Part 2: Code Pink, the Women’s Movement, and Linda Sarsour
Part One, we discussed Code Pink and their humanitarian mission according to their website. However noble the public perception of Code Pink may be lies their other motives. Their direct support of the terrorist organization Hamas.
According to Counter extremism website, “Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood that emerged in the Gaza Strip in the late 1980s, during the first Palestinian intifada (uprising) against Israel. The group’s ideology blends Islamism and Palestinian nationalism and seeks the destruction of Israel and the creation of an Islamic state between the Mediterranean Sea and the Jordan River.”
The following countries list Hamas as a terrorist organization: Australia, New Zealand, Canada. EU, Israel, Japan, Jordan, United States, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
When the United States moved its Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, protests broke out Palestinians protested along the Border between Gaza and Israel. It was initially reported that these protesters were innocent women and children caught up, however, as MSNBC reported, these alleged protesters were member of Hamas. “Salah Bardawil, a senior Hamas official, told Palestinian news outlet Baladna TV that 50 out of the 60 who died on Monday were members of his organization, while the rest were civilians.”
David Keyes, a spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claims, “Hamas is a genocidal terrorist organization. It openly declares its goal of destroying Israel and killing every Jew and every American. Over the past few weeks, Hamas has tried to overrun Israel’s border to kill innocent people. They have shot guns, planted bombs, and thrown Molotov cocktails as Israelis as they hide behind women and children.”
From the Code Pink site: “In March 2009, CODEPINK led an international delegation of anti-Israel activists to Gaza. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh addressed the activists in Gaza by phone while other Hamas officials addressed them in person.” In fact, Hamas vowed to protect the activists and put them up in luxurious hotels owned by Hamas.
According to Breibart, “Since its inception in 2002, Code Pink has worked closely with terrorist groups and state sponsors of terrorism to undermine the United States’ efforts in the war on terror. At the same time, the group has been embraced by the ‘progressive’ wing of the Democratic party at all levels, including the White House.”
